The case was eventually closed, but Umbrella's experience was far from over. Now it's the worst possible nightmare: a new virus runs rampant. All of Raccoon City is infested. Blood-thirsty zombies, hideous mutations now overwhelm the community. When Leon and Claire arrive in town their nightmare is just beginning.

Resident Evil 2 is said to be the greatest Resident Evil of all time, set in Raccoon City you play one of two main characters and two different scenarios to pick from, one being on one side of the car, the other being, well obviously on the other side of the car, it had a great storyline and great game-play, there was some controversy about the alpha version of Resident Evil 2 also known as Resident Evil 1.5, this didn't feature Claire Redfield it involved Eliza, a motorcycle crazy girl (much like Claire). Such features scrapped was the ability to change clothing to survive; your clothing could add extra protection or give you extra spaces in your inventory, clothes would also rip and get blood stains on it, each zombie was individual and no zombie was alike, you could be attacked by 10 zombies at a time, and a few more creatures were involved, but the idea was scrapped and locked away, a shame when you think about it...

Resident Evil 2 has recently been released on the Gamecube, but it was a direct port! This is just plain wrong, Resident Evil 2 (as well as 3) should be remade, a petition should be up soon to get these two remade).
